Tender, one of my rules is not to give advice to my friends, but since you are not my friend I will comment here.

It almost doesn't matter what shares you want to invest in, there will always be somebody that will agree/disagree with you. And of course this will all be based on excellent data and research.

You will probably lose most of your $15000. It will take a year or so but be money well spent if you adapt and know when you are wrong and learn from mistakes.
