longwall mining

Gene has said in an interview that if longwall mining was possible this would make this project absolutely huge.

From what I understand longwall start up costs are more expensive but is more efficient in capturing the coal, less workers needed and safer.

Could this mean reduced costs from PFS study over life of mine?

Does anyone have any comment as to why this method would be a huge adv for our company?
