G'day Bloke,
Interesting analysis but a bit off base. Definitely not Rangals as the historic drilling shows us that.
You are right though and make a great point about aerial photography. Much of that Burngrove / Fairhills formation forms up into pretty ugly, hard, and stoney country. Great for finding petrified wood.
Not so much an uplift plate but more of a fold which brings the older Formations to the surface and means the Rangals have been eroded away.
Interesting comments would have been nice to have seen some of this country before it was cleared.
Also right guys its only just been getting dry enough to do a bit of drilling in the Basin and now we are getting a touch of winter rain. Been a real hard year for the Majors and Juniors alike to get any runs on the board. This one may have played out a bit differently if they could have kept up the momentum with more drilling.
Cheers,
Gaz
