I doubt it, MIN has previously targeted 8-10tmpa through Kwinana so they are likely to use all the capacity
the only opportunity CAZ might have is too utilise some of the capacity whilst MIN ramps up production however this is likely to be around 2mtpa and it may only be available for one year whilst MIN ramps up to full production
would like to know what is going on with Berth 5 at Kwinana and whether CAZ will get any look in there or does MIN now have first right over that capacity when it comes online further down the track? anyones guess i suppose
I get the feeling that CAZ is trying to put some short term solution together to ease the pain but certainly looks like production will be a long way off...unless the rumours are true and CAZ has ordered a heap of sea containers... maybe they will put the ore in sea containers and ship it through the regular bulk goods terminal at Kwinana or Freo??...wouldnt be the first company to come up with this crazy idea
