Fair enough. But $2000 a month less 40% child rebate means the real cost is $1,200 a month. Then there is the lower tax bill from two people on $75k of another $900 a month so net the family is only $300 a month worse off than the scenario I did. Still leave a lot of spare cash ($3400 a month) for the things that break.......
