sell today or not?

    Hi,

I'm in a dilema today, as I don't really know what to do exactly. There might be a few other members out there going thru the same situation, therefore I just would like to ask your general opinion in relation to my situation. I will not hold this as a financial advice, and will simply add this to the other comments that I've already read about it and decide what to do using my own free will.

I currently hold 114,000 shares on RHG (for longer than 12 months)as an individual and I'm in the 37% tax margin based on my salary.

I'm not sure it is worthwhile to sell my stock at the current price today or receive the dividend and franking credits (approx 90K) and hold the stock after go ex-div.

My uncertainty really if I will be able to use these franking credits effectivelly or not.

If I sell today I would be making 115K in Capital Gains, prior to use any allowed discounts for holding for longer than 12 months of using previous accumulated capital losses.

I have also approximatelly 90K in previous capital losses in the stock market (previous years and this year) that I've never had a chance to claim against a capital gain situation.

I guess I've never really managed to win, so I'm a new to this situation.

Is there a way to confirm this using a formula that I could calculate in the next couple of hours today?

I would appreciate any comments in relation to this.

    Thank you again, Vrumm
