re: Ann: Watpac wins $75m Hearing Hub constru... Terrific to see the board appointments being people outside the usual KS circle & someone from outside Queensland - wow, who'd have thought it. I'm sensing that KS is looking to ease off the workload of Chairmanship & wouldn't be surprised to see someone else in the big chair within the next year or so. I think WTP has grown to be a bigger more diversified beast than it was (thank goodness) & needs a Chairman & board with broader skill sets to take it to the next level.
Construction & civil /mining engineering seem to be the way forward as the WTP performance in the property development sector in the past few years has been woeful & been the reason for the write downs & provisions. With $2b worth of construction work on hand across the whole nation, this is one heck of a serious building company now.
