Hi pecs, I dont agree that the Costello article is anything other than a political response. he seems to be saying that the current budget should be used to get us into surplus in the coming financial year but offers no indicators as to what he would cut to achieve that. Unlike Abbott and Hockey he also seems to be saying that a surplus in 2012/13 is virtually a shoe-in based on the current prosperity and terms of trade. This also is a very different picture to Abbott and Hockey and also most of the coalition supporters on this forum.
It will be interesting to see what Abbott has to present tonight.
