The question of whether $150K is a lot or not is clearly not as black and white as some people seem to think. For a single man with no kids and no responsibilities, $150K is heaps, fantastic. For a couple who jointly earn $150k with a few kids, school fees, childcare, mortgage, health insurance etc etc. It isn't very much. The price of childcare always astounds me. I don't have children, but I really feel for my friends that do.
