Geelong were great last night, they played good hard footy and won by 3 points. Beat us in contested footy, tackles and clearances, game over. They are a great team who I don't mind losing to because they are easily respected. But I doubt in the finals Jolly, Maxwell, Johnson, Beams and MacCaffer will be out of the team and then you'll see the hit outs and clearances back in our favour spelling trouble for ALL other teams. Jolly couldn't get off the ground against the Bombers and that didn't help us, but I actually now think if they can keep their kids through a long year they are our biggest threat. Got everything really but might be 1 maybe 2 more quality mid-fielders short of winning this year. But on that last day ANYTHING can happen as we have seen before.
Pies didn't hit top gear until round 15/16 last year and with the best Sports Science dept in the AFL, it'll be the same again this year. Be afraid, be very afraid...
