True, and likewise I have no time for any religion. However in the West we have made progress, even if only recently. Why shouldn't we promote these ideas of enlightened tolerance to the rest of the world? Why should we believe the writings of a 7th Century warlord are the word of God and treat them with any more respect than the rantings of B Grade sci-fi writers or similar? And especially when these beliefs are intolerant - and violently so - of those who believe or behave otherwise.
