I have given plenty of references in the past, and they have all been ignored.
It is time for pro-vaccinators to do some research of their own, rather than glibly listen to information spoon fed to them. You will not understand the issues by simply looking at ad hoc references supplied by me. I came to my conclusions after checking out the govt. claims. They were wrong. Some of the anti-vac claims are wrong or dubious too. You must not accept anything without going to the source data, is my experience. And even then it is not conclusive, as in the death rates are meaningless.
C'mon, FW, you are obviously intelligent and computer literate. Why ask me for a reference, when you have the imagination to type "UK measles death rate 5000" into google?
You say that "The reality is that if all Australians followed your example we would have polio and its devastating effects back in Australia". That is an unfounded supposition on your part. If you look at the fall in the incidence of polio from 1900, it is more likely that the disease would have died out completely if vaccines hadn't been introduced.
"Even using your death rate of one in 5,000, this equates to 50 deaths a year in Australia in an unvaccinated population compared to none in the latest data I could find for Australia. 50 dead children, devastated parents."
I'm sorry, this doesn't make sense. How do you arrive at 50 deaths per year in an unvaccinated population? And what is the death rate in the vaccinated population?
