Hi John interesting point of view but I disagree I'm sure there are many more Malaysians who want to see their country moving forward not backward and to be honest for this to be knocked back at this point now would be a serious step back in time for Malaysia in the business world not to mention the compensation and possible future sanctions ect.. As much as I respect the fact that they have been bitten before this is a completely different scenario and there is no comparison.. When it is proven by the independent board that this project bares no risk to the people or the environment then I am sure common sense will prevail and the Majority of Malaysians would not want to cut off their nose to spite their face..I would say that the average Malaysian wants a better lifestyle which can only be brought about through economic growth.. but with that comes a responsibility to conduct business in a proper manner, and to have the government held to ransom by the opposition party to the point that they have to scrap a billion dollar industry 3/4 of the way through construction to retain power sends out a very powerful message.. Don't bring your business here because the country is controlled by extremist's.. Ask yourself if the opposition party is willing to damage Malaysia's future now with propaganda and lies, what would they do if they got in power??

That said I have faith in the present government and I believe they will prevail and stand up for what is truly best for Malaysia...
