Lapdog if Rudd had called a DD election over the ETS (when he was riding high in the polls) he would have romped it in and it would now be L - A - W.

And seeing as it probably wouldn't have been the end of the world for Australian industry nor working families he might still be PM and Gillard still a loyal sidekick.

I don't think the carbon tax is as well structured as the ETS and I don't think voters have any desire to address this issue if it costs them. Sure when they get polled are you concerned about climate change they say yes. But when asked are you willing to pay higher prices, well that's a different matter isn't it?
