Amazes me how a company like Caltex can charge prices at the bowser based on todays oil price when they refined it months ago at much cheaper prices. Moreso the case today. Why should we have to pay more for something yesterday only to find Caltex has profited at our own expense due to market forces? Major anomoly which no-one can explain.
The petrol price should be based on an average weighted price for the past month. At least then we aren't contributing to companies such as CTX's profit unless you're shareholder and reaping the benefits as well.
