Perhaps because they don't see any value in providing positive information to the shareholders (ie their employers)? Perhaps because they don't give a rat's toss for the shareholders? Perhaps because they're too busy negotiating a TO? Perhaps because they want the SP low for an MBO?
Could be lots of reasons!
