Well if you can't see what you are implying then so be it. It seems to be clear to me.

Katter says he will start up a new party - no name as yet.

You jokingly suggest that it could be called the Mad Hatter's party.

However the Mad Hatter became deranged, most people know that the character was mad or at least very strange.

A "Mad Hatter's" party therefore may well contain deranged people, one of whom could well be the leader, Bob Katter.

This is all I have to say on the subject.
