Been enjoying reading your posts for a while. I'm a natural optimist but Europe really is a pigs ear so to speak. I think the real issue is Spain and Italy - the big club med nations. There default in coming years will be a huge crisis. The other so far don't really matter as size relative to the Eurozone is entirely manageable.
Low cost gold stocks is a decent defensive strategy to me. Might get sucked down for a while but for me, as a long termer, low cost goldies represent a good risk-return tradeoff. I'm very overweight GDO and leaning towards selling half my holding to the chinese at 55c. The 2 gold stocks to put those $$ I like are FML and IGR.
