I think so too, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.
I have had 3 big positions (for me anyway) in bulk commodity stocks for the last few years I bought on the same thematic as SDL, being a big stranded resource, with infra or financing issues. I figured that the emerging world needed the resource so capitalism would 'find a way' to get the resources to market.
The first was RIV, while it did get taken out, I was certain I would have gotten a higher offer from India than what Rio paid. I thought i'd get $20 per share.
2nd was BRM, while it's well in the black it has certainly not panned out the way I expected and I thought we would get a counter offer before WNM got hold 50%. My hopes of $8-$10 per share now seem a trifle optimistic, but it's not over yet....
Lucky last is SDL.... I won't state what I am hoping to get relieved of SDL for, since I don't want to curse us all.... Not long to wait now.
