"Liberals stated policy would have totally ruined the economy as the Nobel prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz pointed out how dangerous Abbotts policies where to Australia."

Tony and his gang of supporters were shouting on a daily basis "big bad debt", "our children and grandchildren will have to pay for it", etc etc. They voted against the Labor government's economic stimulus packages in the parliament.

It defies credulity to now hear some people say the Liberals would have done the same thing if they were in government. The Liberals would NOT have done the same thing if they were in government, not to extent of Labor's efforts to cushion the economy from the GFC, and in that process saving the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of working families from ruin, saving thousands of small businesses from closure and their owners from ruin.

Go back in time and read again the words used by the Liberals, and the intensity those words conveyed, to oppose the government's stimulus packages. Their negativity should not be allowed to be forgotten so easily.
