I thought that the 45 day rule was not dependent on the day the div is announced or paid but solely on the purchase and sale dates which are determined by myself.
If this is so then the shares I bought on 17 Nov 2010, I can sell now with no worries.
Those bought on 05 May 2011 I should hold onto until after 21 June 2011.
Those bought on 10 May 2011 I should hold onto until after 26 June 2011.
Those bought on 12 May 2011 I should hold onto until after 28 June 2011.
So by my reckoning the sales by small holders like me will most probably be spread and in my case most sales will be in late June.
