"The independant Southern Geoscience geologists
have indicated that Mt Barrett has a similar
magnetic signature to Mt Weld, which is approx'
150 miles to the south.
They have concluded that MB is prospective for a
magnetite Au mineralisation or a Mount Weld style
REE mineralisation.
Southern Geo also describe MB as a Late Magnetic Intrusive
system, which means intrusive rocks are formed from magma
that cools and solidifies within the crust. The magma cools slowly and as a result these rocks are coarse grained. The
mineral grains in such rocks can GENERALLY be identified
with the naked eye.
Therefore if ORO's geologist is going to be on-site close to the core samples being retrieved from the target zone,
he will be able to visibly identify the mineralisation and
make a determination early. As they said in the latest
announcement progress reports will be made.
This drill could be highly significant and I like the fact
that ORO are free carried with other projects to drill in coming months"
