Just one last word to ease your mind, the Australian army is one of the best, but it is always horses for courses and all combatants have an advantage on home soil. However technology alone is not enough, it is hard to stop someone who is 100% committed to a cause. P.S. The comments attributed to SAS personnel were their personal observations made on the ground at the time. They may or may not have been made formally especially given that much of what happened was an official secret for 30 years. I enjoy these types of discussions as rehashing history such as this helps us further understand our neighbours.
