If you look at long term rates of growth in shares and property there is not much difference.
In the past when share markets have peaked the smart money has gone into property until it has had a good move and when share markets look like they are on the move again property stagnates while shares take off again.
Determing where we are at the moment is debatable.
Property has peaked but maybe so has the share market.
