Don't know why you let this convo go towards WW2 Voltaire as the Americans hardly had an army then until they decided to go to war and started the industrial engines. The yanks let the japs bomb the crap out of useless battleships at pearl harbour but in their defence the west really needed their government to have an excuse to go to war.
Almost all conflicts after WW2 though I agree with your point of view.
However at the heart is that their weapon contractors have to keep feeding their families and the idiots their education spits out have to do something.
Criticism should be leveled at the fact the Americans in recent decades have almost always been the aggressors for illegitament reasons. The consequence being the racking up of debt and the killing of their own citizens and citizens in other countries. As a democratic country their government expresses good intentions but ultimately any war is better than no war for their economy short term.
Moondoong i'm sure theres a Korean, Vietnamese or Afghani person out their saying the same thing about the Americans. All major nations have gone through periods of equal stupidity.
