Currently, China has 13 operational nuclear reactors. However, it has 27 under construction; 50 planned; and 100 proposed. Talbot expects China to use five times the nuclear fuel requirements of Germany by 2020. At the moment, Germany uses 5% of the world's uranium supply. Before today's announcement, that market share was expected to dip to 3.2% by 2020.
