Just got on.

Mljet is right, there was a massive hype surrounding Biota and the licencing/launch of Relenza in the 90's.

I worked On Relenza, though I didn't buy any, a few of my buddies bought Biota shares.

Those that bought in at the start 10-20 cent mark, made a killing.

But if you bought in at some of the spikes (4,5, 8 dollars) believing the hype it would go to 50 - 100 dollars, people got hurt.

It was just 2 years ago when one mate got his money back - some just took a hit.

And the 50 - 100 predictions for the SP had a basis of truth. Here was a drug that was capable of stopping flu around the world, and had FDA approval.

Governments stockpiled it (and still do) but the demand never matched the hype. The only time it came close was a few years ago when swine flu appeared.


Until ADO gets more signatures, I agree there is an element of hype associated with the SP. But it is a risk I am willing to take, and have, especially at these prices.
