Not sure why you think underwater mining is unviable - there have been recent developments in this area and it is now being done in a similar fashion to dredging -
I believe the proper checks environmentally will be in place for any proposed mining and so your rejection out of hand on enviromental grounds simply shows that is your position on the matter and thats your right - but you have no evidence that this type of mining will not be environmentally sustainable
In relation to the song lines - your response was expected - the aboriginals can do what they like etc - the truth is that their culture as it exists currently is not compatible or even reasonable to the rest of the commercial world - that is an unfortunate fact - it also does not diminish the importance of their culture in their eyes
Truth is though - you should put more effort into the fight against substance abuse in particular alcohol as that is what is really destroying their culture and people
