<""Which is why WM did not go to McBank for debt funding. Business loans attract high interest because of risk, and loans from the big boys in the USA are commonly above 15%."">
What next Stumacca. And what are the rates of interests currently in the USA ?
And then you say that they are lending at 15% due to high risk, while they pay interests of 10% and higher to some investors?
Why wouldn't they borrow (Like they usually do anyway) from Treasury where the rates are a hell of a lot higher.?
Is it any wonder that we have had to endure a GFC due to the Banks ways of doing things then ?
May I suggest to you Stumacca, that, maybe you should go and ask a Bank Manager (he will then ring their treasury to get a quote) how much interests they will give you for that kind of money. Maybe you should also ask your Super Fund (if you have one), and see how much interests they receive for the billions of dollars in cash that they have, even after they trasnferred all of those cash funds into overnight cash markets to maximise their returns, on a daily basis.
Cheers, and good luck mate.
