A former Amcor Ltd (ASX:AMC) executive has admitted in court that he played a role in illegal price fixing. Peter Brown made the admission in a case that sees Amcor going against several former executives accused of selling two subsidiary companies below market price.

Mr Brown was fired in December 2004 over the price fixing matter that included a competitor of the packager. The admission is the first time an Amcor executive has publically admitted to playing a role in the scheme.

Amcor reported a net profit of $236 million in the six months to December 31, 2010.
