Shadowboxer, what you have outlined now confirms my worst fears: there is nothing going on, all JV bets are at best hopes of a deal, and NKP has no option but to go it alone or get a 3rd party such as the Chinese involved.
I don't see why Anglo would be interested in a deal as they have oodles and oodles of platinum ounces.
The SP as always has been proven correct; we will go much lower over the next few months.
