I buy many things from eBay. Mostly consumer items and clothing. But I wouldn't buy silver unless I knew exactly who I was doing business with.

Good thought on the Paypal indemnification/warranty. And on testing the product after delivery.

Most precious metal tests involve dissolving a sample in a concentrated acid (or mix of acids). the amount required is minute (usually just from rubbing or scraping).

You can buy gold and silver testing kits from eBay!
