    I buy silver coins, they have an added value of being 'art work' and i enjoy them as such too. nice to hold something 100 years old and can be brought for around spot. Read somewhere artworks have better tax treatment on sale profits, Bar wouldn't be considered art in this manner.
    Easy to pick out a fake as its not the correct weight or design.
