Retail in Australia deserves to suffer as it's too expensive. You can buy the same products overseas for half what they sell them for here and with our dollar so strong things should be even cheaper.
Tourism is suffering the effects of our high dollar though and mining is responsible for that. It's cheaper to holiday overseas and expensive for foreigners to come here.
