The tax man doesn't concern me as my SMSF holds the shares and as I'm receiving a pension (even a transmission to retirement one) no CGT is payable while I am in that phase. Therefore selling before 1/7 in order to get a CGT loss to set off against a gain is not a factor. I would say that there are a lot of holders like me. In any case don't most buy the shares back straight away?
