Magnetite - if I read Wikipedia correctly - is little more than iron oxide. I doubt that it would be economical to extract it and sell it, compared with the iron rich ores that BHP, Rio Tinto, Fortescue, and company are exploiting. Too deep, too costly. If there are trace minerals that are worth something, maybe, but I doubt it.
As for the coal, I really doubt it will be economical to extract compared with the other coal bodies that Australia has available. No, I'd say that Mt Barrett is a write-off. On to the Pambula and Moruya gold prospects, I'd say, and it will probably be some months before anything happens there.
They have the core samples out, so it's worth while to have them properly analysed - due diligence and all that - but I'll be very surprised if they turn out to be economically viable to mine.
