I'm basically a position trader (av duration 10 days ) And I never traded with profit target for either the week or the trade. Sometimes it helped, sometimes it hurt.
In a booming market, no targets is best. Interesting to watch the trading styles on the blog here. Right now I'm trying to learn DT so I have a daily target and it seems to help.
Markets are like simming in an ocean. Somedays you stay out, somedays to go to a different spot. Haven't position traded for about 3 weeks now.
