Interesting issue you raised about the WN Associates and Investors. Who knows what the structure in place is for these guys and what they have been promised by Wah Nam. The fact that Wah Nam has probably privileged these guys in relation to Australian shareholders in the takeover offer is neither here nor there. ASIC is utterly useless and won't do anything.
But yes, assuming there are some after the WN Associates transferred to other "investors" who may have stumped up their own cash, they may be rightly annoyed. However that is only an assumption of my part i.e. that the entities were genuine investors who stumped up their own cash. For all we know they may have been funded by a backer, or even out of WN director's own pockets.
