There is an engineer a manager and a programmer travelling together in an old car down a steep ravine.
The breaks fail, and after a few hair raising bends, the driver manages to stop the car by ramming it into the side of the gauge.
After a few moments of stunned silence, they get out and discuss how to proceed.
Firstly the manager: "There's clearly a serious issue here, let's establish a committe to investigate the causes, consequences, and agree on a way forward."
The engineer: "No, that would take far too long. I have my swiss army knife here, I'll go and check the brake linings now".
The programmer: "No no, you're both wrong. We need to push the car back up to the top of the hill and try again, but this time take a more careful note of what's happening".
