Thankyou for that great reply with quotes from Matthew James. Julia's post didn't bother me too much because she mindlessly superimposes the dangers of nuclear power production onto REE production - no thinking at all involved - unless there is another, ulterior, motive at work.

I understand that people are now worried about nuclear, yet I am still pro-nuclear, because we will need to come to terms with it if we want to supply sufficient energy for the world's every-increasing population, so I have little time for the anti-nuclear lobby; they understand nothing, they really do not care how the world is going to get along without sufficient power, because it's only the greedy 'capitalists' who need it to get richer - this is from me, a former socialist. All these anti-movements consist on the whole (with some exceptions) of disaffected, sometimes self-marginalised, often highly idealistic, but certainly not well-informed people, who'll protest anything that gives their quasi-religious zealotry an outlet, with all the ignorance which comes with that. And that is what Julia is, she is part of the anti-nuclear, ill-informed - just-against-it, because it's feel-good stuff, movement.

I would have thought with all the information available today, the good education we give our children, this kind of ignorance should be a thing of the past.

Don't take any notice - BTW look at the stuff she is invested in - a bit of hypocrisy there methinks.

Markets are down, generally, and I think we will have to wait until July for the s.p. to improve.

Maybe this controversy about Lynas taking a complex secondary processing plant off-shore will be a good thing for Australia, as others may consider Australia in future - my beef: not enough secondary industry here!

    Cheers
