Following the success of last years event in Chicago, AusBiotech and Ernst & Young are again hosting 'Australian Biotech on Show? Life Science Investment Showcase, this year to be held at Ernst & Youngs New York Headquarters in Times Square on Thursday 23 June, commencing from 3pm followed by networking function. The Showcase which will provide a platform for AusBiotech member companies to present to investors is a lead up event to Americas pre-eminent biotechnology industry conference, BIO 2011 in Washington.
Australian Biotech on Show Life Science Investment Showcase will give investors an overview of Australias top companies with emerging therapeutics in one invitation-only meeting. The Showcase will comprise short pitches from up to 20 promising companies with product in the clinic and/or identified opportunities. It is expected that up to 100 international investors, comprising venture capitalists, fund managers and investment bankers will be in attendance. The Showcase will also attract the venture capital arms and senior business development executives of global major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
