There wouldn't be too many people disciplined enough to put ALL their surplus funds into the bank and not redraw it.
There always seems to be some "necessity" that saps away the money sitting in a bank account.
If you need to live away from home a cheap unit or duplex isn't a bad way to start off.
At least it's a roof over your head and you can own it within a reasonable length of time.
