re: just announced SPUDDING OF NEW WELL AT THE HELPER PROJECT
Carpenter Pacific Resources Ltd. (ASX:CPC) (the “Company”) advises that on April 4,
2005 it spudded its second well at the Company’s Helper Project in central Utah (the
“Project”). The well is known as the Kennilworth Rail Road #2 (“KKR #2”).
The KKR # 2 is a vertical well and the second of a multi-well drilling program on the
Project acreage. The well is located one half mile north of the KKR #1 well in the Uinta
basin in central Utah adjacent to the Drunkards Wash complex.
Drilling will target the Ferron Sands and Coals. The well has a planned vertical depth of
approximately 5,000 ft. Subsequent to drilling the KKR #2, the Company will complete
and test both the KKR #1 and KKR #2.
