Maybe we should only "go" every other day. Immediate 50% saving. And theres more. Once we get used to that we could move to every third day and so on.
Could get messy from time to time but this is after all the environment we are trying to save.
Another suggestion: introduce a special toilet paper tax. Its been done with carbon why not toilet paper? Or link the two together. After all there are emissions involved?
