Yes not unheard of to move mills around in the goldfields. Recently A1 Minerals relocated a mill in storage at Coolgardie to Laverton. To be honest if you're moving it 5km or 500km there is not a lot of difference - you still need to load and unload it. A couple of years ago a Mill was moved from Kundana near Coolgardie all the way over to QLD! Also a couple of years ago the New Celebration Mill was relocated to Integra (I think)
Mills take time & money to build from new. The timing was interesting for this take-over - Focus had time to get some drill results from TI (which haven't been released!) and perhaps even do some metalurlical work... So when you consider a new Mill for TI taking 2 years to build from scratch and $100M then you take a different view on this CRE take-over.
FML will have a plan for this Mill - perhaps it is to unlock resources at Laverton and then send through the Mill in-situ.
Anyway if you asked me when FML was 2.7c if I would like to see then taking over companies and producing 230k oz/yr in a few years the answer would have been yes.
This will be an interesting 6 weeks and would expect some more news flow in between.
