people lie to police all the time, especially, as was the case, she was upset and angry after just being pulled over. Who isn't angry in a similar situation ?
She was unlucky this time in that there was a video record of the situation, so she should be held accountable. End of story.
As for her veil/hajib - I am not sure what the law specifies for identification. At worse case, a female officer could have been summoned to identify the woman.
Have to say, that police lie all time too. As a student, I was pulled over by a young handle-bar-moustached officer who fabricated a string of traffic and parking infringements against me.
