Good find - Ive been looking for that Volcanics reference for a while and it was relatively recent even

CO2 adsorption capacity of coal is said to be twice that of its adsorption capacity for methane so the CO2 probably crowds out the methane.

Would the CO2 help push the Methane out ?
From the OB comment about diferential pressure it seems that the methane will come out first.

The coal seams could be used for storing away all the CO2 produced by the coal fired Power Stations and in the process force out some more methane for some gas fired power stations to use.

An extra line of business for ESG to add to the two we already have :-

    1. ESG Gas
    2. ESG Water
    3. ESG CO2

Would we have to get a separate CO2 Sequestration licence ?

Apparently the Boggabri volcanics have a lot to answer for

I recall Santos in some presentation said that they try to avoid the volcanic areas of their Gunnedah tenements so as to not produce any CO2. We have heard very little about their exploration/appraisal efforts so "produce" is a hope.

    Cheers
