Yeah gone of those days. I started early back in NZ when I was about 7 or 8 and use to break out of the house around 2am , meet some friends and pinch strawberries, gooseberries etc from neighbouring properties. The only concern were the dogs but most were outside dogs and at the time loved us.As long as we were back in bed before getting woken up for school all was good.Days not going to school would leave the house crack of dawn unattended and was told to be back for dinner! A whole day with friends scouting around, looking at nature, tying a rope to a tree and swinging into a creek etc etc.Setting off a years savings worth of fire works on guyfox night, looking back I would kill for my kids to do all that but these days unfortunately its just not the same.To many rules and regs but more importantly too many loonies roaming the streets! Or am I just being over protective? I have thought about this numerous times and I dont think so. Cheers.
