The SP has certainly copped a whack - the 55c low is a long way from the ath of $1.40.

I am no financial advisor & but a humble investor. IMO such is global uncertainty, lax regulation, insider trading, poor oversight of trading patterns & the behaviour of hedge funds etc that you need to be able to lose virtually anything you invest in the sharemarket.

That said I would echo Marsup's comments re the AOE experience - its SP was a rollercoaster ride but in the end delivered handsome rewards to those who could tolerate the pain.

IMO DTE is something of an AOE facsilime but with a much greater international focus in a world in desperate need of home grown energy solutions.
