So if (and I accept it is a big IF) OPR does not go ahead, what other ports and expansions are in the pipe line to provide more ore to the market. Heaps of expansion, and plans for other ports is the answer. This is no done deal and unless we want WA to look like SIM CITY all covered in rail and road then not all of the projects will get up. Yes I think this will still go ahead, but perhaps the baby will be thrown out with the bath water and some share holders will lose out - do you think State Govt will be losing sleep over high risk loses incurred by some individuals? No. The saving grace as I see it is that the international interests will all be keen to reduce the joint hegemony of BHP and RIO - self interest MAY be enough for them to work together....
